You will be absolutely delighted to know that the crash has brought opportunity. It is the opportunity to be very thankful that I am in the gold business and that I have helped many savvy hairdressers to own gold before it hits $2000 an ounce. While I may seem negative to you Wendy, I am a positive realist who does not rely on mass media for direction. It is clearly time for another new strategy, one that includes putting the weaker salons out of business.Consumers need lower prices and better service.

Well now...where is all of Jonathons negativity comming from...? These days we all know people who have been hit hard by the economy but there is a saying that "whatever you focus on expands"..Why not concentrate on what is working in your salon ( or life for that matter...)instead of what isn't. One persons problem is another's opportunity. Look at history, EVERYTHING runs in cycles, financial markets, the weather...thats life. things happen , change your strategy, make adjustments where you need to and learn form the experience...You'll be glad that you did! What doesn't break you makes you stronger!
BTW- I support NCA's descision...I think it was appropriate "change in strategy".

If you thought it was cost prohibitive now, wait 'til next year. With the dollar crashing you'll be thinking current prices were the bargain by then. You just need to get used to it.
